Principal’s Message...
Hello Hersey parents!
Well, the Holiday season is upon us and I am sure you are busy with
a multitude of tasks and chores needing to be completed. Thanks for
taking the time to read this message to you. I know the education of
your son or daughter is a priority for you and that you are invested in
their learning.
By now, you are finding yourselves firmly infused into this semester’s
educational programming. The partnership formed between
you, your student, and this community of educators is essential
for developing high levels of student success. The collaborative approach to this educational
investment will allow you greater insight into the educational demands upon the students in our
high school. That insight will provide you with the information that you need in order to help
your children find balance in their efforts to be as involved as possible, while enjoying extra and
co-curricular activities as well. Your guidance is essential in this regard. I encourage you to stay
vigilant regarding the social/emotional status of your son or daughter as well. High school can
be such a challenging time. We wish to encourage our students to embrace as many educational
and extra-curricular activities as possible while remaining healthy and happy in what they do.
If we work together, I am confident that we will see our mutual efforts rewarded in a successful
experience.
You should be currently involved with your child and their registration for classes. I hope that
you consider asking questions regarding each and every academic opportunity offered to your
son or daughter. The selected course work will be part of a process of preparing them with the
skills necessary for college or career opportunities that will present themselves to them in a short
amount of time. These course selections are vital and important in that regard. We are lucky to
have the tools necessary to accomplish this goal at a high level of efficiency. But, of course, we
invite you to help us understand and respond to your child’s learning needs and desires. Keep
the lines of communication with our instructors open and positive in our collective efforts and I
am sure that we will be successful achieving the highest possible learning outcomes for your son
or daughter.
As this holiday season continues, I hope that you and your families are able to enjoy some time
together. We certainly have much to be thankful for as well as to celebrate. A bit of time for quiet
reflection will certainly be welcome for most of us in this harried and hurried holiday season.
Thanks for your positive support in our efforts to serve you and your children.
Happy holidays to you all! Enjoy the break!
