(a) Do they live in Tokyo? + Yes, they do. / No, they don't.<br />

(b) do they live? + In Tokyo.<br />

(c) Does Gina live in Rome? + Yes, she does. I No, she doesn't.<br />

(d) *re does Gina Ewe? + In Rome.<br />

NOTE: (a) and (c) are called "yes/no questions." The answer to these questions can be yes or no. (b) and (d)<br />

are called "information questions." The answer gives information. Where asks for information about place.<br />

Notice in the examples: The form of yestno questions and information questions is the same:<br />
