something for a long time, but I look at<br />

something for a short time.<br />

In (d): hear = a nonaction verb. Hearing is<br />

an unplanned act. It expresses a physical<br />

reaction.<br />

In (e): listen (to) = an adon verb. Listening<br />

happens for a purpose.<br />
