Twins Then Mumps
In Kendall Family
Seattle—James Kendall, assistant manager
of the Coliseum Theatre here, was
a happy man the other day as he handed
out cigars right and left. For Mrs. Kendall
had just given birth to twin girls,
their first offspring, and he had a right
to beam.
But his jubilation was short-lived.
The following morning he awoke with a
swollen jaw and the doctor's diagnosis
was "mumps!" Now Kendall can't bring
his family home from the hospital until
he is all over it.
Everything seems to happen at the
Coliseum. A short time ago Clyde Strout,
manager, was operated on for appendicitis
just one week after Mrs. Strout went
through the same ordeal.
