PPI 5 A & B
To measure and monitor the performance of the whole authority in the delivery of capital
projects in terms of cost and time predictability. This applies to all capital projects
(excluding highways and IT) over £50,000 where the Local Authority is the sole or major
partner.
A Cost Predictability
% of projects where outturn falls within +/- 5% of the estimated outturn, expressed as a % of
the total number of projects completed in the financial year.

For the 2005/06 measurement of delivery of capital projects nineteen schemes were analysed
with a total value of just over £6 million.
National Property Performance Indicator results for 2005/06 continue to reflect a reduction in
project cost predictability but show an improvement in project time predictability compared with
2004/2005 figures.
