Order for Possession 4.1 We can only bring your tenancy to an end and
repossess your home if we obtain an order for
possession from the court.
Notice of Seeking
Possession or Notice of
Proceedings for
Possession
4.2 Prior to the issue of legal proceedings we are
required to serve a Notice of Seeking Possession or
a Notice of Proceedings for Possession.
A Notice must give a minimum of four clear weeks
notice prior to the issue of legal proceedings. There
are limited exceptions to this rule, see below.
In some cases the Court may dispense with service
of the Notice.
Service of Notices 4.3 If we need to serve you with a Notice of Proceedings
for Possession, a Notice to Quit or a Notice of
Seeking Possession or any other Notice, this will be
done by either
• handing it to you in person or to any adult at
the property or your last known address
