6. [LIST PLAY] ([EDIT]) key<br />
This key has primary (unSHIFTed) and secondary (SHIFTed) functions.<br />
When unSHIFTed:<br />
When a play list is recorded <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> BMF <strong>file</strong>, press<strong>in</strong>g this key starts playback accord<strong>in</strong>g<br />
to <strong>the</strong> play list.<br />
(Note that this function is not available with an SDII <strong>file</strong>.)<br />
When SHIFTed:<br />
Press<strong>in</strong>g this key enables edit<strong>in</strong>g of <strong>the</strong> recorded play list.<br />

OPEN/CLOSE<br />

Opens or closes <strong>the</strong> disk tray.<br />

a. [RECORD] key<br />
Normally, press<strong>in</strong>g this key starts record<strong>in</strong>g when one of <strong>the</strong> AUDIO RDY <strong>in</strong>dicators<br />
([NEW FILE] or [<strong>INSERT</strong>]) is lit.<br />
• In <strong>the</strong> NEW FILE <strong>mode</strong>:<br />
Starts record<strong>in</strong>g to a new <strong>file</strong> which is automatically created. If <strong>the</strong> "TC RDY" <strong>in</strong>dicator<br />
is lit, timecode is also recorded.<br />
• In <strong>the</strong> <strong>INSERT</strong> <strong>mode</strong>:<br />
Starts record<strong>in</strong>g from <strong>the</strong> current position of <strong>the</strong> current <strong>file</strong>. If <strong>the</strong> "TC RDY" <strong>in</strong>dicator<br />
is lit, timecode is also recorded.<br />

If you press <strong>the</strong> [RECORD] key when <strong>the</strong> "REC PROTECT" sett<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Utility <strong>mode</strong> is set to<br />
"On", "Protected!" is shown and you cannot start record<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
b. [STOP] key<br />
Normally, press<strong>in</strong>g this key stops <strong>the</strong> recorder.<br />
In <strong>the</strong> Setup, Utility and all sort of edit<strong>in</strong>g <strong>mode</strong>, press<strong>in</strong>g this key exits <strong>the</strong> current<br />
<strong>mode</strong>.<br />
Also, press<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> [PLAY], [F FWD] key while hold<strong>in</strong>g down this key<br />
executes <strong>the</strong> follow<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
• [STOP] + [PLAY]<br />
Plays back sound data on <strong>the</strong> clipboard and stops <strong>the</strong> recorder.<br />
• [STOP] + [F FWD]<br />
Locates to REC END and stops <strong>the</strong> recorder.<br />
