MGM, green Antone Berggren Is Dead; Popcorn Company Head OMAHA—Antone Berggren, 71, president of the Midwest Popcorn Co., become fatally ill here February 28 as he was about to leave a taxicab to enter the Medical Arts Bldg. for an eye checkup. Death came from a heart ailment. Survivors include his wife and four sons, two of whom i William B. and James L.i were associated with him in the popcorn firm. Another associate, Vice-President Lee Coffee, died unexpectedly several weeks ago. imm 'Walk Alone/ 'Bishop' High in Kansas City KANSAS CITY—Business downtown continued slow with only the first week of top product drawing above normal. "The Bishop's Wife" on a double bill at the Orpheum managed to shove its way to 130 on the barometer clock, but "Call Northside 777" hovered near the average mark all week. "The Bishop" was held for an additional session but "Northside" moved out at the end of its seven-day stretch. "Cass Timberlane" drew average crowds during its second and final week at the Midland, and "I Walk Alone" at the Paramount did somewhat better.
