It gives me immense pleasure to note that the Second
National Symposium on ‘Forensic Clinical Psychology
as an emerging profession in India’ is being held at
our campus on 10th & 11th September, 2011.
It is a fact that half a century ago, we could not have
imagined a career that involved playing with human
DNA, taking 3D images of internal organs, or sending
140-charactr messages out of an online audience of
millions. But today, these are the jobs much sought
after, and some of the most exciting fields to get
into. The changes brought about by technology, new
working practices, new kind of work and international
competition has opened up a whole new vista of careers.
The popularity of forensic psychology has grown
phenomenally in the recent years due to the awareness
created in the mass media attracting many to choose
Forensic psychology as a career option today.
I wish this symposium all the success and convey my
good wishes for bringing together psychologists to
exchange scientific knowledge and recent studies on all
theoretical and methodological advances in psychology
as well.
