42.9 Law 42.10 - Batsman Wasting Time<br />

law 42.10 shall apply, subject to the following:<br />
if the incoming batsman is not in position to take guard or his partner<br />
not ready to receive the next ball within 2 minutes of the fall of the<br />
previous wicket, the action should be regarded by the umpires as time<br />
wasting and the provisions of Law 42.10 shall apply.<br />
in addition, the umpires will report the incident to the icc Match Referee<br />
under the icc Code of Conduct.<br />
42.10 Law 42.14 Batsman damaging the pitch<br />

42.11 Law 42.15 – Bowler attempting to run out non-striker before delivery<br />

law 42.15 shall be replaced by the following:<br />
the bowler is permitted, before releasing the ball and provided he<br />
has not completed his usual delivery swing, to attempt to run out the<br />
non-striker. Whether the attempt is successful or not, the ball shall not<br />
count as one of the over. If the bowler fails in an attempt to run out the<br />
non-striker, the umpire shall call and signal Dead ball as soon possible.<br />
42.12 Use of Electronic Communications Equipment<br />

the use of electronic communication devices and equipment of any kind<br />
to communicate with players on the field of play shall not be permitted.<br />
