1. INTRODUCTION – YOUR PARTNER
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), successor to the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka
(BCCSL) at No.35, Maitland Place, Colombo 07, Sri Lanka, is the governing body for Sri
Lanka‟s most popular sport – Cricket. Being the governing body of cricket in Sri Lanka, we
function with the vision to develop every facet of the game and strive to set an example to
other Cricket Boards around the world with our high standards and level of commitment
towards the sport and our country. We are located adjacent to the prestigious Singhalese
Sports Club (SSC) overlooking its picturesque international cricket venue. Today in Sri
Lanka, cricket appreciation at its best is hailed as a force of national unity, a testament to the
plural, multi-ethnic, multi-linguistic, and multi-religious country that we are. Cricket is not
just a sport; it is a way of life.

2. INVITATION FOR SPONSORSHIP
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) at 35, Maitland Place, Colombo 7, Sri Lanka is pleased to invite
offers from interested parties to submit their offers / proposals for sponsorship as the “Team
Sponsor for ICC WT20 for the Sri Lankan national team”.
3. SCOPE OF SPONSORSHIP
The scope of this Invitation for Sponsorship is limited to the ICC WT20 which is the event
with the 6 th largest viewership in the world. The Offer submitted is subject to fulfillment of
basic requirements and Sri Lanka Cricket shall reserve the right to accept offers in
consultation with the interested sponsor.
During ICC and ACC conducted events / tournaments, their sponsors / partners categories of
products / services are protected. Accordingly, in the event the Sri Lanka Team Sponsor‟s
product / service category is of the same category, no team sponsor branding will be
permitted.
4. PERIOD OF SPONSORSHIP
The duration of sponsorship is for a period of Three (03) years, longer period could be
considered.
5. SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE EXPECTED
Part or full payment of 35 million LKR
6. SPONSORSHIP BENEFITS
The sponsor shall enjoy all benefits of sponsorship subject to the terms and conditions as
herein set out and such rights and benefits as shall be in accordance with the guidelines of
SLC applicable during events.

‣ The sponsors corporate / brand logo or trade mark will be displayed on clothing worn by
all members of the Team and team officials during the ICC WT20 in keeping with ICC/
SLC regulations.
The team members and officials would wear only clothing with sponsor's logo
during practices/ warm-up, play, press conferences and award ceremonies.
‣ SLC shall during the continuance of this Agreement make available the members of the
team to appear in one photo opportunity for the Sponsor‟s promotional activities as
permitted under SLC‟s rules and regulations governing the players in the following
manner.
Procure the attendance of the Team as may reasonably be requested by the Sponsor
and mutually agreed for one promotional activity within the city of Colombo provided
the transport shall be organized and paid for by the sponsor.
Procure the attendance of the Team for one photographic session, to be held in Sri
Lanka, during the term of agreement at a time and place mutually agreed, in sporting
apparel.
The Sponsor shall with prior written consent of SLC and the Team member(s) be
entitled to use such photographs taken in any of its promotional activities /
advertisements during the Agreement period.
The sponsor is required to take prior written consent from the players and the SLC if
it so wishes to use the photograph of any one individual bowler(s) in any promotional
activities/advertisements after the end of the Period.
Such photographs taken of the bowler(s) shall only be expressly used for the purpose
of promoting the sponsor‟s products or services.
Upon SLC granting permission, the sponsor shall be entitled to host entirely at their
own cost, one goodwill function each year which shall be attended by the Team
members/management on being given reasonable advance notice provided however
that the Team is free of other official commitments.
‣ SLC shall grant rights to display Two „A‟ boards in 18 x 3 ft. size at all international
cricket matches [Test and ODI] conducted by SLC for a period of one year.
The sponsor may propose additional benefits that they wish to offer SLC.

7. SUBMISSION OF OFFERS / PROPOSAL
Bids shall only be submitted by the Organization / Company / Firm. The bid must be signed
by two officers of the Organization / Company / Firm who have the necessary authority as
per the Memorandum and Articles of Association. Offers submitted by third parties on behalf
of clients would be considered but the contract would be signed directly with the successful
sponsor/ partner only.
All offers/ proposals should be submitted in sealed envelopes marked “OFFER FOR TEAM
SPONSORSHIP FOR ICC WT20” and addressed to CEO, Sri Lanka Cricket, No 35,
Maitland Place, Colombo 7 On or before 22nd February 2012.
8. SPONSORSHIP VALUE
Bidders are requested to indicate clearly the value of their offer for the sponsorship. All
sponsorship fees would also be subject to VAT being added and payable which is
subsequently reclaimable for which a Tax Invoice would be issued by the SLC.
9. STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE
The offer must comply with all clauses, sub-clauses and specifications adhering to the format
of this Invitation of Offers for Sponsorship and include a Statement of Compliance in the
proposal clearly indicating that the proposed sponsorship offer comply with all such
requirements.
10. ALTERNATIVE OFFERS
Alternative offers / additional benefits to secure the sponsorship. However, any additional
benefits would only be considered in the evaluation of bids subject to the bid complying with
minimum requirement specified herein. SLC also reserves the right to accept or reject any
alternative offers without adducing any reason whatsoever.

11. AWARD OF SPONSORSHIP CONTRACT
Upon evaluation of offer received, SLC will award the sponsorship provided it meets the
expected financial consideration, subject to fulfilling all conditions stipulated herein.
The sponsor shall enter in to a formal legal contract incorporating the various terms and
conditions including the sponsor benefits.
