Mr. Bradley has spent <strong>the</strong> past 18 years with <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>School</strong>s where he<br />

started in <strong>the</strong> custodial department. He served 6 years as <strong>the</strong> custodial<br />

manager and <strong>the</strong> past 3 years as <strong>the</strong> Operations Manager for facilities. Mr.<br />

Bradley is married with 2 children who attend <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>School</strong>s. He is a<br />

Certified Facilities Director through <strong>the</strong> Michigan <strong>School</strong> Business Officials.<br />

Breakfast In The Class Room and Grab & Go Breakfast<br />

Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Grant Program<br />

We recognize how important breakfast can be for young,<br />

developing minds. It impacts student behavior, retention and<br />

participation in <strong>the</strong> classroom. To assist <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>Public</strong> <strong>School</strong>s<br />

in advancing student achievement in all school, we plan Universal<br />

Free Breakfast for all students in <strong>the</strong> district and Breakfast in <strong>the</strong><br />

Classroom at all elementary schools. Every student can enjoy a<br />

free and nutrition breakfast.<br />

Lunch Dining Services<br />

SodexoMAGIC is committed to providing <strong>the</strong> healthiest, most<br />

appetizing lunches we can possibly provide. Healthy students<br />

make productive students.<br />

Catering Services<br />

SodexoMAGIC is prepared and more than qualified to handle all<br />

catering request for <strong>the</strong> district. Our varying levels <strong>of</strong> catering<br />

service ensures that we have something for everyone.<br />

The resources provided by <strong>the</strong> Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Grant<br />

allows us to provide nutrition education while, at <strong>the</strong> same time,<br />

giving elementary students <strong>the</strong> opportunity to eat fresh fruit and<br />

vegetables outside <strong>of</strong> lunch service.<br />

Community Engagement<br />

SodexoMAGIC has many programs geared towards enriching <strong>the</strong><br />

community. Some <strong>Saginaw</strong> specific programs are: SodexoMAGIC’s<br />

Teacher <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Year Award, and <strong>the</strong> Adopt-A-<strong>School</strong> program led<br />

by SodexoMAGIC’s Junior Executive Development program.<br />

Sodexo and SodexoMAGIC streng<strong>the</strong>ns <strong>the</strong>ir partnership with<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>Saginaw</strong> community by promising $25,000 to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Saginaw</strong><br />

Promise and also donating a $50,000 Gift for <strong>the</strong> district to use<br />

in response to <strong>the</strong> Michigan Pay to Play law.<br />

student nutrition program in <strong>the</strong> district by increasing <strong>the</strong> number<br />

<strong>of</strong> healthy and delicious school meal options available daily to students in all grade<br />

levels. The <strong>Saginaw</strong> student nutrition program also includes a Breakfast in <strong>the</strong> Classroom<br />

initiative that allows all elementary school students district-wide to enjoy a nutritious<br />

free breakfast every day. SodexoMAGIC also launched a Culinary Celebrations program<br />

that reinforces nutrition lessons through cooking events and competitions.<br />

<strong>the</strong> implementation <strong>of</strong> all <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> SodexoMAGIC programs, processes and<br />

Chef Arnold is responsible for <strong>School</strong> <strong>District</strong>s for 100% Compliance <strong>of</strong><br />

Food and Safety Standards. Support and preparing General Managers<br />

for scoring 100% on NSF surprise audits. Serves as support to general<br />

managers and management teams in accident prevention and monitoring.<br />

Ms. Tiffany Houston<br />

General Manager Support<br />

Ms. Houston is a General Manager for Sodexo’s <strong>School</strong>s Services Division<br />

at Beecher Community <strong>School</strong>s in Flint, MI. She has been employed<br />

with Sodexo for three years serving as a Food Service Manager before<br />

accepting her current position. Ms. Houston is responsible for coordinating<br />

<strong>the</strong> elementary and secondary menus for for all <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>School</strong>s.<br />

Ms. Lash is a Sr. Marketing Specialist with Sodexo’s K12 <strong>School</strong>s Division.<br />

Based in Chicago, she provides marketing support for elementary, middle<br />

and high school foodservice programs in <strong>the</strong> Midwest region.<br />

<strong>District</strong> Chef and NutriKids Specialist<br />

Chef Brian is responsible for providing culinary support throughout White-<br />

<strong>District</strong>. Supports culinary training and development. Coordinate special<br />

culinary events for <strong>the</strong> <strong>District</strong>. Serves as district coordinator for Future<br />

Chefs. Also serves as NutriKids support for <strong>the</strong> <strong>District</strong>.<br />

Ms. Erika Radwan<br />

<strong>District</strong> Marketing Coordinator<br />

Ms. Radwan is responsible for supporting <strong>the</strong> Student Well-Being Positioning.<br />

Training and coaching district teams on Sodexo marketing program. Serve<br />

as marketing support and expert to general managers and management<br />

teams. Also performs marketing assessments for schools throughout <strong>the</strong><br />

district.<br />

Mr. Carlos Johnson<br />

<strong>District</strong> Manager<br />

In October 2011, Mr. Johnson<br />

joined Sodexo as <strong>District</strong> Manager<br />

for Facilities in Sodexo’s North<br />

America <strong>School</strong>s Division. Carlos<br />

is responsible for <strong>the</strong> growth<br />

and operational excellence <strong>of</strong> 12<br />

accounts in a seven state geography<br />

inclusive <strong>of</strong>: MI, NC, SC, VA, WV,<br />

OH, and GA.<br />

Previous work included ARAMARK Healthcare in November 2004<br />

as <strong>the</strong> Director <strong>of</strong> Environmental Services for Durham Regional<br />

Hospital. During his tenure at Durham Regional, Mr. Johnson was<br />

very successful in orchestrating <strong>the</strong> successful turnaround <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

patient satisfaction scores; which topped out at <strong>the</strong> 90th percentile,<br />

up from <strong>the</strong> 53rd percentile. He was also responsible for increasing<br />

<strong>the</strong> employee morale, which was noted during <strong>the</strong> hospital wide<br />

employee opinion survey. His departmental results ranked in <strong>the</strong><br />

top five departments within <strong>the</strong> Duke Health System.<br />

Mr. Johnson transitioned to Nor<strong>the</strong>ast Georgia Medical Center<br />

in August 2007, and was subsequently promoted to <strong>the</strong> role <strong>of</strong><br />

General Manager <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Environmental Services Department in<br />

April, 2009. Mr. Johnson currently manages all aspects <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Environmental Services and Linen Department for <strong>the</strong> 800+ bed<br />

acute care hospital system; which is inclusive <strong>of</strong> two long term<br />

acute care facilities, psychiatric facility, outpatient imaging center,<br />

and two medical <strong>of</strong>fice buildings. During his current tenure, Mr.<br />

Johnson was successful in opening three new building expansions<br />

(Women & Children’s Pavilion, Outpatient Imaging Center, and<br />

The North Patient Tower) with superior results, totaling more than<br />

460k square feet. As a result <strong>of</strong> this, he was able to secure a new<br />

three year renewal, while increasing both revenue and front line<br />

contribution greater than 32%.<br />

Mr. Johnson has 17 years <strong>of</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essional management experience,<br />

nice <strong>of</strong> which have been in <strong>the</strong> healthcare industry. He holds a<br />

B.S. in Technical Management from DeVry University, where he<br />

graduated with Cum Laude honor distinction. He also holds an<br />

MBA from Keller Graduate <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> Management. Mr. Johnson is<br />

also a Certified Plant Maintenance Manager from <strong>the</strong> Association<br />

<strong>of</strong> Facilities Engineering. Mr. Johnson is also a Certified Green<br />

Belt in <strong>the</strong> Six Sigma Methodology, which he obtained from Lynne<br />

Sisak & Associates. Mr. Johnson also served with distinction in<br />

<strong>the</strong> United States Marine Corps. Mr. Johnson is a member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

National Scholars Honors Society and Sigma Beta Delta International<br />

Honors Society.<br />

Mr. Johnson is a native <strong>of</strong> Atlanta, Georgia, and currently resides<br />

in Gainesville, Georgia with his wife Demetrice and two daughters,<br />

Kiera and Olivia.<br />

Mr. John White<br />

<strong>District</strong> Manager<br />

Mr. White oversees daily operations,<br />

as well as business and client<br />

relationship development for school<br />

districts in Michigan and Indiana.<br />

Mr. White is an alumnus <strong>of</strong> Alcorn State University with a Bachelor<br />

<strong>of</strong> Science in Nutrition and Institution Management, and a Masters<br />

<strong>of</strong> Business Administration from Bellarmine University - Louisville<br />

Kentucky.<br />

As district manager, Mr. White is<br />

responsible for training, coaching,<br />

mentoring, budgeting and managing<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>it and lost operations. He also<br />

designs, implements, and adjusts<br />

sales plans and programs, with an emphasis on increasing student<br />

participation and improving all levels <strong>of</strong> service.<br />

Mr. White has been with Sodexo for over 25 years and brings a<br />

wealth <strong>of</strong> leadership and hospitality management experience. Mr.<br />

White most recently served as Administrative Director and General<br />

Manager for Guest Services Departments at <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong><br />

Louisville Hospitals where he was responsible for leading over 250<br />

associates and managers including clinical dietitians, operations<br />

managers for Nutrition and Facilities Management. Some <strong>of</strong> Mr.<br />

White previous positions include Retail Operations Manager at<br />

North Carolina Baptist /Wake Forest University Hospitals and<br />

Food Production Manager at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore,<br />

Maryland.<br />

Some <strong>of</strong> Mr. White’s key accomplishments include his selection<br />

as a member <strong>of</strong> Leadership Louisville, Leadership Detroit and<br />

<strong>the</strong> receipt <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Sodexo Healthcare Clients for Life award. As<br />

well as serving on <strong>the</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Directors <strong>of</strong> Louisville Region<br />

<strong>of</strong> American Red Cross, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and <strong>the</strong><br />

SLICE - a Kentucky Derby Festival Event. Mr. White believes in<br />

delivering service excellence to our clients and our communities. In<br />

April 2010, Mr White participated in White House briefing with Phi<br />

Beta Sigma Fraternity’s National President on President’s Obama<br />

Domestic Agenda.<br />

Mr. White has a lovely 15 year old daughter, Nila and currently resides<br />

in Detroit Michigan and member <strong>of</strong> Sacred Heart Catholic Church.<br />

We Are The Communities We Serve<br />

The <strong>Saginaw</strong> Promise is an exciting initiative, created by legislation<br />

signed into law by Governor Jennifer Granholm in early 2009. It is<br />

designed to serve as a catalyst for economic development and to<br />

support local efforts to promise a college education for all students<br />

who reside within <strong>the</strong> boundaries <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> school district. <strong>Saginaw</strong><br />

was designated a “Promise Zone” in April <strong>of</strong> 2009.”<br />

The Adopt-A-<strong>School</strong> program was developed by Sodexo’s African<br />

American Leadership Forum (AALF) to inspire and develop leaders<br />

and to serve as role models to influence students throughout <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

lives. The local AALF chapter will adopt a <strong>Saginaw</strong> middle school<br />

and its members will speak with students about various topics<br />

while also mentoring <strong>the</strong>m to become leaders.<br />

Sodexo and SodexoMAGIC streng<strong>the</strong>ns <strong>the</strong>ir partnership with <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Saginaw</strong> community by promising $25,000 to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Saginaw</strong> Promise<br />

and also donating a $50,000 Gift for <strong>the</strong> district to use in response<br />

to <strong>the</strong> Michigan Pay to Play law.<br />

SodexoMAGIC’s Teacher <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Year award will recognize a high<br />

school teacher who positively impact students both in and out<br />

<strong>of</strong> school. Students and district leadership will vote to determine<br />

<strong>the</strong> winner and <strong>the</strong> award will be presented at a private dinner<br />

ceremony. Additionally, <strong>the</strong> winning teacher will get a signed letter<br />

<strong>of</strong> appreciation and a personal congratulatory call from Earvin<br />

“Magic” Johnson.<br />

The Junior Executive Development program is a comprehensive<br />

educational workshop designed to create awareness <strong>of</strong> career<br />

opportunities in corporate, community based organizations, and<br />

government while also exposing students to executive leadership<br />

in <strong>the</strong>se types <strong>of</strong> organizations. The program will be available to<br />

<strong>Saginaw</strong> high school students.<br />

The <strong>School</strong> <strong>District</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Saginaw</strong> has<br />

responsible and transparent manner to ensure<br />

organizational excellence.<br />

Priority Goal 3:<br />

The <strong>District</strong>’s partners in education will<br />

demonstrate quality customer service, safety<br />

and student success.
