With the development of technology <strong>and</strong> atmospheric environmental<br />

protection, diesel vehicles are gradually applying electronic controlled<br />

engine Euro III, Euro IV etc.. During repair, auto diagnostic scanneris<br />

required for <strong>diagnosis</strong> <strong>and</strong> inspection, some inspection methods <strong>and</strong> steps<br />

for using Fcar car scannerto diagnose <strong>FUSO</strong>(Pic.1) will be introduced as<br />

below:<br />

1. Connection of scanner<br />

A, First connect, testing cable to OBDtest head <strong>and</strong> main unit.<br />

B, Find diagnostic socket location of this vehicle(See Pic.2)<br />

C, Connect diagnostic socket <strong>and</strong> turn ignition switch to ON<br />

D, Turn on Power switch of Fcar scanner<br />

2. <strong>Diagnosis</strong> <strong>and</strong> inspection steps of engine<br />

Note: Actuation test must be performed under condition that control<br />

setting matching, sensor <strong>and</strong> line are confirmed normal, otherwise, it will<br />

leads to operation failure. If operation still failed in case of system<br />

normal, then means this vehicle not installed with actuation test system<br />

<strong>and</strong> no such function<br />

3, Maintenance experience<br />

To perform vehicle engine system <strong>diagnosis</strong> <strong>and</strong> inspection, you must<br />

be familiar with usage of auto diagnostic tool <strong>and</strong> diagnostic methods <strong>and</strong><br />

steps, such as <strong>check</strong> engine data stream, compare engine speed, high speed,<br />

idle speed, static state, working condition, so as to judge sensor is good<br />

or not.<br />

Actuation test is used for <strong>check</strong> control unit <strong>and</strong> parts whether work<br />

normal <strong>and</strong> also a method for Fcar scanner to judge the cause for fault.
