Using 4.00mm needles and M, cast on 30 sts.<br />

Row 1(WS): Knit, inc in every st to end … 60 sts.<br />

Beg Petals<br />

** Row 1: Sl 1, K9, turn.<br />

Cont on these 10 sts for first petal.<br />

Row 2: Sl 1, K9.<br />

Rep 1st and 2nd rows 5 times.<br />

Row 13: Sl 1, K2tog, knit to last 3 sts, K2tog, K1 …<br />

8 sts.<br />

Knit 3 rows slipping the first st (as before) in each<br />

row.<br />

Row 17: As 13th row … 6 sts.<br />

Knit 3 rows, slipping the first st (as before) in each<br />

row.<br />

Row 21: Sl 1, (K2tog) twice, K1 … 4 sts.<br />

Knit 3 rows slipping first st (as before) in each row.<br />

LEAVES<br />

Using 4.00mm needles and C1, cast on 42 sts.<br />

Row 1(WS): Knit, inc in every st to end … 84 sts.<br />

Beg Leaf<br />

** Row 1:Sl 1, K13, turn.<br />

Cont on these 14 sts for first leaf.<br />

Row 2: Sl 1, K13.<br />

Rep 1st and 2nd rows 6 times.<br />

Row 15: Sl 1, K2tog, knit to last 3 sts, K2tog, K1 … 12<br />

sts.<br />

Knit 3 rows, slipping the first st (as before) in each row.<br />

Rep last 4 rows 3 times … 6 sts.<br />

Row 31: Sl 1, (K2tog) twice, K1 … 4 sts.<br />

Knit 3 rows slipping first st (as before) in each row.<br />

Row 35: (K2tog) twice … 2 sts.<br />

CENTRE<br />

Using 4.00mm needles and C2, cast on 13 sts.<br />

Row 1: K1, * Bobble, K1, rep from * to end.<br />

Row 2:K1, * K2tog, rep from * to end ... 7 sts.<br />

Cut off yarn, leaving a 20cm tail. Thread tail through rem<br />

sts, draw up tightly and fasten off securely.<br />

TO MAKE UP<br />

DO NOT PRESS. Join first and last petals of flower pieces<br />

together for 1cm from cast on edge. Run a gathering<br />

thread along cast on edge, moulding petals into correct<br />

shape and position as you gather. Repeat for leaves. Place<br />

flower pieces onto leaves as pictured and oversew gathered<br />

edges together. Place centre over gathered edges<br />

and catch in position as pictured.<br />
