what you’ll need
• ‘Moda Vera’ Passion 100g balls
2 x MC (Main Colour 15)
1 x C1 (1st Colour 31)
1 x C2 (2nd Colour 13)
1 x C3 (3rd Colour 20)
• 1 pair 7.00mm knitting needles
• Plain yarn for sewing seams
• Scissors
• Yarn needle,
• Tape measure
• 1 x toggle
Tension
10 sts x 16 rows to 10cm over stocking
st, using two strands of yarn and 7.00mm
needles.
To work a tension square, use double
yarn and 7.00mm needles, cast on 15
sts and work 24 rows stocking st. Cast
off loosely. Check your tension carefully. If
less sts use smaller needles, if more sts
use bigger needles.
Note: This bag is worked using double
yarn at a firmer tension than usually
recommended.
SIDE (Make 2)
Note: The bag is worked using double
yarn: MC is used throughout, only the
contrast colour is changed.
Using 7.00mm needles and 1 strand each
of MC and C1 together, cast on 22 sts.
Work 3 rows stocking st.
Using MC throughout, cont in stocking st
and work contrast colour changes as foll –
Change to C2 and work 1 row.
Change to C1 and work 2 rows.
Change to C3 and work 2 rows.

TO MAKE UP
DO NOT PRESS. Using mattress st, sew
cast off and cast on edges of gusset and
strap together. Sew bag sides to gusset/
strap, placing gusset seam to centre of
lower edge. Sew toggle to inside of bag at
centre of last stripe, push toggle through
fabric of other side to fasten.
