FRIDAY NIGHT JUNIOR BADMINTON<br />
SOUTHLAND JUNIOR NETBALL ACADEMY<br />
The Academy will develop the foundation skills<br />
required by young players to assist them to<br />
progress to the top of the sport.<br />
The curriculum (using a progression model) has been written using the<br />
latest knowledge of the development of skills from the ages of 8 years up.<br />
This will be run in <strong>Term</strong> 2 in the following venues:<br />
Gore, Hokonui Pavilion - 4 or 5pm on Tuesdays starting 28 April<br />
Invercargill, Stadium <strong>Southland</strong> - 4 or 5pm on Mondays starting 27 April<br />
Winton, Drill Hall - 4 or 5pm on Mondays starting 4 May<br />
Queenstown, Events Centre - 4 or 5pm on Wednesdays starting 29 April<br />
Cost: $80 per term<br />

STARTING OUT IN COACHING<br />
Does your school need to develop coaches? Give them the confidence to<br />
take a school netball team by sending them to a Starting Out in Coaching<br />
workshop run by Netball <strong>Southland</strong>.<br />
Send at least one coach/teacher to a workshop and your school will be<br />
eligible to receive 1-2 “in school” visits from a Netball <strong>Southland</strong> Development<br />

Volleyball <strong>Southland</strong> employs a full time Nationally qualified Development<br />
Officer to promote and teach volleyball in <strong>Southland</strong>. Melanie is available<br />
for Volleyball coaching for your class/school/group for $5 per 15 minutes.<br />
For volleyball competitions in Invercargill, teams or individuals are welcome<br />
to enter any of the below:<br />
Social: 6-a-side, 8 week competition’s run four times a year at Stadium<br />
<strong>Southland</strong>. From ultra competitive to super social, there is a grade to suit<br />
your team. Rules and coaching available.<br />
Secondary School: Wednesday night competition, Two six week<br />
competition’s, terms one and terms three and four.<br />
Youth: Kiwivolley competition – <strong>Term</strong> Three <strong>2009</strong>.<br />
