What a good win for the young side to knock over Glenorchy. The coaching staff and board have no doubt that when our boys are switched on and focused that they can match it with anyone in the competition. This was evident on Sunday as the boys withstood a couple of Glenorchy challenges to pull away in the end to record a confidence boosting win. Last night the boys travelled up and started preparing themselves for today’s match against Burnie, a win today will see us edging closer to the top half of the ladder. HFC Women Please come along tomorrow to the TCA and watch the Women in action as they take on Launceston. The game starts at 1.30pm as there are three junior matches on before hand. So why not set yourself up for a big day on Sunday by supporting the girls and also our future Tiger Cubs. May I also take this opportunity to remind you of the junior football website http://www. hobartjfc.uni.cc Juniors This weekend 3 of our 4 junior teams are playing at the TCA ground, games start at 9.30am, 10.45am and 12 noon with the women’s match against Launceston to follow the juniors. • U12s Cygnet make the trip up the Southern Outlet as they come to the TCA to play at 12noon • U11s have the late match this week starting at 2.30pm out at Brighton, if you are still making your way back from Burnie please call in and show your support. • U9s play at home this week (10.45am start) as they take on the Kingborough Gold team, both teams will be looking to turn this match into a win after being defeated last weekend. • U8s play Sandy Bay Blue at the TCA ground starting at 9.30am. 12

It makes the long trip home all that more enjoyable after big victories like that. Congratulations to Robbie McManus who was voted best on ground, well done Rob! Our club captain (Tim Perkins) set the tone in his 200th game by kicking the first goal of the match, good job Tex. Big game this week against the top of the table team in Launceston, a challenge the boys are looking forward to and a strong showing and the 4 points will go a long way setting up our season.
