Over the break the Devonport club has been building its stocks of board members, sponsors, coaching and support staff, volunteers and players. We are concentrating on a solid planning base with our junior development programs, our long term sponsor support and involving many small businesses in our football zone. We have a commitment to our four teams to support them in all aspects for this season and the future. Football pathways for Devonport players has never been stronger, from the early ranks of the under age to our senior team players they will be nurtured and trained not only in football skills but also in leadership skills, team building and community responsibility. C L U B N O T E S | Round 1 Hobart Tigers - 03 6231 3778 President: Philip Baker Senior Coach: Graeme Fox HOBART Welcome back to the footy, it has been a very positive pre-season and the Club is ready to roll in 2010. The Club has recruited well in the off season both with Coaches and players. The Club has been able to secure the services of ex Lindisfarne coach Daniel Willing. Daniel has come across the river to join the Club in a role as offensive coach. Graeme Bennetts has also joined the coaching department and is in charge of the Under 18 team. The Club wishes both Daniel and Graeme a rewarding time at the Club as the young cubs continue to turn into fierce Tigers. On the playing side of it the HFC welcomes all of there off field recruits to the Club and wish them an injury free season and may they contribute positively towards many Hobart wins this season. Hobart v North Hobart games are always close and hard fought games and this will be no different as both Clubs look to kick off season 2010 with three wins. “See you in the ‘Den’ in 2010” Lauderdale Bombers - 03 6248 7686 President: Phil Giffard Senior Coach: Darren Winter LAUDERDALE Lauderdale FC has been in constant ‘makeover’ mode over the off season. We have enhanced our playing surface and added new spectator facilities for our live local footy. In our Football Department we welcome one of the states higher profile players and coaches, Darren Winter, as Club Coach. Darren (Seniors), Luke Hill (Reserves), David Lewis (U18’s) are coaches that bring experience, maturity, and professionalism to our Club and which we combine with a blend of our most successful product - home grown talent and passion! We also welcome several new and exciting ‘partners’ to our Club, including George Self Real Estate and MG Robert Plumbing (Aussie Clean) who join household names: Deaks Fine Foods (Primo Smallgoods), Rheem Hot Water, K&D Mitre 10 and Oceana Health & Fitness. We also recognise the contribution that the Clarence City Council have provided over the last few years. Well done to all at the local council.
