DEVONPORT<br />
A great crowd saw the <strong>Devonport</strong> Magpies<br />
defeat Launceston by 15 points in an exciting<br />
preliminary final at Aurora Stadium last Friday<br />
night and earn the right to play <strong>Clarence</strong> in the<br />
Grand Final at <strong>Bellerive</strong> today.<br />
Congratulations to Kurt Heazlewood, who<br />
played his 100th game, and all 22 players for<br />
a truly magnificent effort!<br />
We are now one step away from the “Holy<br />
Grail”. Today Errol Bourn and his team will live<br />
their dream – good luck!<br />
To all our coaches, trainers, volunteers, water<br />
people and game-day officials – for your efforts<br />
throughout the season – thank you!<br />
Volunteers are the heart and soul of every<br />
footy club and the DFC is indeed indebted to<br />
our volunteers who worked tirelessly in many<br />
roles throughout the year.<br />

Congratulations to all teams participating today in<br />
that one day in September.<br />
Well done to Nathan Matthews and Jaye Bowden<br />
who were selected in the inaugural TSL team of<br />
the year.<br />
On behalf of the club we would like to thank<br />
TOTALLY WORKWEAR, OASIS, J. BOAG & SON and<br />
COFFEE CLUB.<br />
The club would also like to acknowledge the<br />
outstanding effort by our volunteers – whether it<br />
be Football Support Staff, Bingo Administration,<br />
Kitchen Crew, Office Assistant or general support<br />
– it is outstanding and greatly appreciated. We<br />
have a night coming up soon for our volunteers to<br />
recognise them. Our club would not be where it is<br />
today without this support.<br />
