CLUB NOTES | Round 16 Hobart Tigers - 03 6231 3778 President: Philip Baker Senior Coach: Graeme Fox HOBART Call To Arms is TODAY The Hobart Football Club is holding their Call to Arms day today to raise awareness of cancer in men. The senior players will be wearing yellow armbands and the Club will be donating the money from the gate raffle and also the money in the donation box. Be part of the fight to help save men’s lives. One in two men will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85. Please buy a raffle ticket or simply make a donation at the canteen Best & Fairest The Club Best & Fairest night will be held in the Clubrooms on the 28th August. Similar to last year we will also recognize the Club volunteers for their fantastic contributions throughout the season. More details to follow. A Tribute to a Legend August 14th 7 for 7.30pm in the Club rooms will be a night to honour Mark Pierrehumbert and celebrate the little champion’s 50th birthday. $20 cover charge which includes snacks, drinks can be purchased at bar prices. Our senior team won their third match in a row, an achievement that has not been realised for quite some time. Congratulations to all members of the football department for this great result. This week our senior and Under 18 teams travel to Burnie, while our reserves have a bye. This road trip presents us with a huge challenge, but one that we are all looking forward to. Last Saturday evening we held our annual Red and Black ball. This was a fun night and a big well done to our organiser Kristi who with her band of helpers did a fantastic job. This week will see the Blues take on Devonport at Aurora Stadium, the seniors will be looking to cement second spot on the ladder as our under 18’s look to continue last weeks form by consolidating a spot in the top 6.
