The first Super Round of the 2011 Wrest
Point State League is upon us with every
game this weekend a chance to go
either way.
The clashes between Clarence and
Launceston and North Launceston
and Glenorchy are more than likely to
preview four September combatants.
Both clashes can be expected to attract
plenty of fan support as well. At the
other end of the table the Bulldogs,
Tigers and Devonport Magpies are
all given a good opportunity to win
their first 4 points of the season. The
Dockers and Demons also meet and
the winner will go to 3 wins and give
themselves a handy break on the pack
of Clubs chasing a birth in the top 6.
The RECORD’s reading highlight is the
‘View From Here’ which analyses this
week’s games which are pivotal to the
fortunes of all Clubs. Also, the Guest
Tipsters will be hard pressed to predict
all winners this weekend. Finally, ‘Our
Great Game’ looks at AFL Tasmania’s
review of football below the Wrest Point
State League.
