Another great effort by both teams last
weekend with each side registering
considerable wins against cross town rivals,
North Launceston. While the scoreboard
may not have shown it, both games were
tough and physical contests which can always
be expected in rivalry game. It was also a
great day off field with 1500+ people coming
through the gate.
Congratulations to Joe Boyce on his well
deserved win of the Adam Sanders medal. Joe
has been at the club for two years now after
coming across from Scottsdale with Anthony
Taylor when he returned to the club to coach
the Seniors.
This weekend the boys travel down the
highway for the second time this year, this
time facing reigning premiers Clarence. The
Roos will be looking to bounce back after last
week’s loss to WAFL team Claremont, in the
Foxtel Cup. Our Boys will be looking to put an
end to Clarence’s two year winning streak at
home and go into the split round having won
both of their Hobart games.
