The Wrest Point State League has
taken on a new complexion after the
completion of Round 4.
The Launceston Blues have achieved
what no other Club has to date in
defeating Clarence at ‘Fortress
Bellerive’. The Blues and the Glenorchy
Magpies now go a game clear of North
Hobart in 3rd spot and have created
a handy break from the other finals
aspirants.
Of the other teams the gauntlet has
been thrown down to Clarence. They
have found April a real struggle, but as
we all know no titles are handed out
in months starting with the letter ‘A’.
While these four teams appear to be a
class above the rest, every other Club
is still mathematically vying for the fifth
and final position in the finals.
The RECORD’s reading highlights are
our reports on the contributions of
umpires and mothers to Australian
Football. I am sure you would agree
that we can’t have a game without their
support.
