85Y12 RF Power Amplifier Module
From Motorola
10W / 12V / 700MHz~900MHz / ~ 33dB Gain
Here you are looking at a piece of SHW5151 UHF RF power amplifier hybrid LDMOS
module from Motorola with marking on top as "85Y12".
I can't locate the datasheet but with power supply at 12V, it delivers 10W full output
(hink sink please !) with about 5mW input (ie. about 33 dB gain) while its power drops to
5W output with 9V power supply. You may also adjust the output power by controlling
the voltage on pin-3 through a centre tap on 10K potentiometer connected to +12V
supply and GND.
This is a 3-stage LDMOS amp module designed for 860MHz Motorola Radio GTX
transceivers (FUF5590A/FUF5591A), for which the schematics in the service manual
can be found at .SHW5151 was used there as "U101" on page 8-5.
Note the pin layout from left to right below as shown on the picture: Pin 1 - Rf input / Pin
2 - SV1 (Bias) / Pin 3 - SV2 (Bias Adj) / Pin 4 - Vdd / Pin 5 - Rf output / Case - GND. Pin
2 and 4 can be connected to +12V Supply. Example on the connection can be found on
a Sweden project page at.
This module is brand new old stock. So bid with confidence.
