<strong>Recessed</strong> <strong>light</strong> <strong>channel</strong><br />

The corridor zones of build<strong>in</strong>gs are generally seen as rather bland,<br />

functional components. This project came up with the <strong>in</strong>novative concept<br />

of rout<strong>in</strong>g the ceil<strong>in</strong>g <strong>light</strong> <strong>channel</strong> through the walls and floor.<br />

This resulted <strong>in</strong> a square spiral, which clearly emphasises the connect<strong>in</strong>g<br />

end and separat<strong>in</strong>g end of the corridor zone.<br />

The <strong>light</strong> <strong>channel</strong> has been executed <strong>in</strong> an alum<strong>in</strong>ium profile body us<strong>in</strong>g<br />

lam<strong>in</strong>ated safety glass, an approach that fulfils the most rigorous<br />

requirements regard<strong>in</strong>g straightness and flush <strong>in</strong>stallation,<br />

while T16 fluorescent lamps with digitally dimmable electronic ballast<br />

have been used <strong>in</strong> order to enable the creation of a variety of <strong>light</strong><strong>in</strong>g<br />

environments. This project <strong>in</strong>corporated a wide variety of design<br />

approaches <strong>in</strong> order to fulfil all the stipulated requirements.<br />
