Appendix A: Context Help PowerPlay Web Viewer Publishing Temporary File Deletion Interval (days) Sets the maximum amount of time temporary files will persist before they can be deleted. The server checks for the existence of temporary files with every occurrence of the Temporary Directory Clean-up Interval setting (Options). Default Portal Specifies the portal to which reports are published from PowerPlay Enterprise - Server Administration or PowerPlay Web. If you set this to Upfront (the default), reports are published to Upfront. If you set this to Cognos ReportNet/Cognos 8, reports are published to Cognos Connection, the portal to Cognos ReportNet and Cognos 8. Note: Reports can be published to only one portal at a time. Cognos ReportNet/Cognos 8 Gateway URI Specifies the Cognos ReportNet or Cognos 8 gateway URI. For more information, see the Cognos ReportNet or Cognos 8 Installation and Configuration Guide. Cognos ReportNet/Cognos 8 Dispatcher URI Specifies the Cognos ReportNet and Cognos 8 dispatcher URI. For more information, see the Cognos ReportNet or Cognos 8 Installation and Configuration Guide. Delete Related Cognos ReportNet and Cognos 8 Objects Specifies that reports published to Cognos ReportNet or Cognos 8 and later deleted from the PowerPlay Enterprise Server is also deleted from the Cognos ReportNet or Cognos 8 server. Cube Properties (General tab) The General tab of the Cube Properties dialog box contains interface items that are not acquired by descendant cubes. Name Specifies a name to uniquely identify the cube. Description Specifies a description for the cube. Use to help users in PowerPlay client applications and Upfront identify the contents. Cube Source Specifies the location of the source .mdc file. The file can be local or remote, however for remote files, you must use a UNC. For example, \\srv01\cubes\imports.mdc. For information about UNCs, see the notes under "Add a Cube or Report" (p. 41). Cube Mirror References Specifies cubes that can be used as mirror references. Name Specifies a name to uniquely identify the report. The Print Settings report must exist for Export PDF. You cannot rename this report. Description Specifies a description for the report. Use to help users in Upfront identify the contents. Report Source Specifies the location of the source .ppx file. The file can be local or remote, however for remote files, you must use a UNC (Universal Naming Convention). For example, //srv01/reports/imports.ppx. For information about UNCs, see the notes under "Add a Cube or Report" (p. 41). Report Mirror References Specifies reports that can be used as mirror references. Use to allow the processing of the report to be handled by other resources. The mirror reference must have its Sharing setting (Options) enabled. Parent Shows the parent folder. Name Specifies a name to uniquely identify the folder. Once set, the name can’t be changed because it would result in a shortcut. Description Specifies a description for the folder. Folder Source Specifies a directory containing .mdc or .ppx files. Folder Mirror References Specifies folders (or servers) that can be used as mirror references. Use to allow the processing of all cubes and reports in the selected folder to be handled by other resources. The mirror reference must have its Sharing setting (Options) enabled.
