drum shredder with hydraulic intake for the
production of high-quality compost
The machine is capable to shred nearly any kind of
wood waste (up to full trunks in max diam. of 30 cm)
with relatively little effort. A steel chain belt and a holddown
roller with welded-on tips provide for reliable and
powerful intake of the material.
• hold-down roller with steel claw
• Wheel arrangement, standard!
• Forced intake by means of a 600 mm long chain belt
• including a set of quick-change blades with holder
• ejection chute and baffle with electric actuator,
standard for all hh 520 / 30 D models
40 kW ø 300
A control bar is provided on the
infeed chute and equipped with
safety rope system to perform
immediate shutdown of machine
in case of emergencies without
leaving the operator’s place in
front of the machine. This concept
was designed for maximum
safety even for manual infeed of
the material.
The material-intake system is hydraulic
and comprising an intake
roller and a 600 mm long chain
belt capable to handle even short
timber or logs from an upstream
splitter or processor.
An overdimensioned intake roller
assures trouble-free feeding
of the material even in case of
thicker trunks and timber.
The core of the machine is a
robust heavy rotating disc with
6 cutting knives to provide for
an enormous centrifugal mass
that develops a strong impact
force of the blades and therefore
an excellent output even at a low
power rate.
The unit is fitted with a No-Stress
electronic power control system
for the production of high quality
compost by one-man operation.
The infeed of woody material into
the unit is controlled by ways of
a special electromagnetic valve
designed to reduce the number
of revolutions of the disc blade in
order to avoid overloading the unit
or the tractor (in order to operate
the No-Stress device a 12V outlet
must be available on the tractor).
The drum forces the shreds
through a perforated grate
(standard 35/40 mm sieve)
yielding an homogeneous compost
particle size. This becomes
a very valuable option for composting
heat applications.
The screw conveyor underneath
it forces the material to
the 130 kg heavy rotating disc.
