Susan Seidelman ("Desperately Seeking Susan") directs from a script by Nora Ephron ("When Harry Met Sally") and Alice Aden. Second Sight RETRACTABLE HUB SPLIT REEL PATENT PENDING Laugh-getters John Larroquette ("Night Court") and Bronson Pinchot ("Perfect Strangers") star in this comedy about a psychic detective agency which gets involved with a nun whose boss — the Cardinal of Boston — has been kidnapped. Bess Armstrong and Stuart Pankin ("Not Necessarily the News") also star. The film is directed by Joel Zwick ("About Last Night") from a script by Tom Schulman and Patricia Resnick. This is one of those Lorimar productions whicli Warner Bros, picked up when it bought the company and, like "Dead-Bang," "Bert Rigby, You're a Fool" and "See You in the Morning," it may not receive a whole-hearted release by its new own- Breaking In Burt Reynolds, finally taking some chances with his moribund career, stars in this light comedy from that wonderful Scottish director. Bill Forsyth ("Local Hero," "Housekeeping"). He plays an aging thief who gruffly agrees to pass down his knowledge to an eager young crook, played by Casey Siemaszko ("Young Guns," "Biloxi Blues"). Reviews from Cannes were positive but indicated that, like most of Forsyth's work, the tone of the film may be too light for general audiences. John Sayles ("Eight Men Out") provides the script. This was slipped into production quietly and shot quickly, which was rather unusual for a boxoffice heavyweight of Stallone's stature. The film also stars John Amos, Darlanne Fluegel, Sonny Landham and Frank McCrae, and it is directed by John Flynn ("Best .Seller"). A Tri-Star release.
