Successes
In 2004 Council and Derbyshire County Council worked in
partnership with Trident Housing Association and prepared
a scheme. However, this was not a high priority for the
County and was not progressed. In 2007 the partnership
reformed to develop a scheme for extra care housing and
specialist dementia care. The partnership
have secured funding and land to development a unique
scheme, which includes 88 extra care units and 32 units
for dementia care. This is expected to start on
site in 2009 and complete by 2011.
