Secured 5 additional units of floating support for young<br />

teenage mothers and 15 additional units of floating<br />

support for young homelessness people in 2006/7.<br />

Successes<br />

6350 vulnerable households were identified as part of<br />

the Private Sector Stock Condition Survey carried out in<br />

2004. We have annually reviewed our progress in reducing<br />

the number of vulnerable households in non-decent homes<br />

as follows: 2005/6 – 8912 non-decent private sector<br />

households of which 1996 occupied by vulnerable (31.2%)<br />

2006/7 – 8858 non-decent private sector households, of<br />

which 1940 occupied by vulnerable households (30.5%)<br />

2007/08 – 8776 non-decent private sector households, of<br />

which 1858 occupied by vulnerable households (29.3%)<br />

Decent homes incorporated in latest revisions of Private<br />

Sector <strong>Housing</strong> Policy. Successful bids to GOEM in<br />

2006/7 and 2007/8 for funding for joint Decent home<br />

scheme in partnership with Spirita Home Improvement<br />

Agency/Amber Valley and Derby City <strong>Council</strong>s. Decent<br />

home scheme delivered 101 homes made decent homes<br />

in 2006/7, 83 further homes made decent for 2007/8.<br />
