James G. Law, vice-president and general
manager of the Magee Carpet Co., was
elected chairman of the board of trustees
at the 25th annual meeting of the Carpet
Institute, Inc. Law succeeds Frank E. Masland
jr., president of C. H. Masland & Sons.
A plaque in recognition of his 25 years as
secretary of the Institute was presented to
King Hoagland by Masland. The Fred
Eldean Organization, Inc., was retained
as public relations counsel to the Carpet
Institute for the ninth consecutive year.
RCA Service Co., Inc., and Teleprompter
Corp. have announced that the Teleprompter
cuing equipment, widely used in
television studios, wiU shortly be made
available to public speakers in other fields
on a nationwide basis. RCA will provide
a rental service for Teleprompter equipment
used by speakers. The Teleprompter
is the cuing device that has been used extensively
during the past few years in the

Appointment of Smith H. Cady jr. as
sales promotion and advertising manager
of Schutter Candy Co. has been announced
by William A. Fette, vice-president and director
of sales, effective November 1. He
resigned as merchandise manager of the
Chase Candy Co. in order to take the post
with Schutter. Cady served four years as
director of the Council on Candy for the
National Confectioners' Ass'n, in charge of
"
the "Candy Is Delicious Food campaign.
Adolph Stuber, vice-president in charge
of sales and advertising for Eastman Kodak
Co., recently celebrated his 40th anniversary
with the company. He became a vicepresident
in 1942, and since 1947, has been
a company director.
Stockholders of Pabco Products, Inc.,
recently re-elected all members of the
board of directors at the annual meeting
in San Francisco. Company officers were
later reappointed by the directors. The
stockholders also approved the employment
contract whereby William L. Keady recently
became president. He was formerly
president of the United States Gypsum
Co. and Marathon Corp.

Fred Levesque, formerly projectionist at
the Eastwood Theatre, East Hartford,
Conn., has been named projectionist at the
Colonial, Hartford, replacing Jack Mitchell,
who has resigned to go into the dry cleaning
business in Augusta, Ga.
Albert Allen Feinberg, 59,
president of
the United States Air Conditioning Corp.,
died recently at Mt. Sinai hospital in Minj
neapolis. A native of Minneapolis, Feinberg
was one of the founders of the manufacturing
firm in 1924.
