Measuring Sensor with Capacitive Measuring Method<br />
• Suitable for plastic and metal tanks<br />
• Insensitive to soiling and deposits in the water<br />
• No mechanically moved parts, robust fully electronic capacitive measuring method<br />
Functioning: With the capacitive measuring method an insulated measuring electrode and the surro<strong>und</strong>ing medium (water)<br />
are forming an electric capacitor. With increasing level, also this “capacity” will be increased. The electronic system evaluates<br />
this effect by means of a small alternating voltage rate and gives an electric signal to the display unit, which is equivalent<br />
to the level. Apart from the continuous measurement, the further advantage of this measuring method is its deep action<br />
and thus the insensitiveness to soiling, deposits and solids in the tank. Depending on the type of transmitter the insulated<br />
measuring electrode is executed as stick probe or flexible cord probe for various installation possibilities, tank heights and<br />
mounting situations at the tank.<br />

Measuring Sensors for Water<br />
These tank sensors had been designed especially for level measuring of water and hydrous media (fresh water, sewage<br />
water, grey water, industrial water, feces) in metal or plastic tanks. Thus, they are universally applicable. The measuring<br />
electrode can be easily shortened to the height of the tank, and the precise “full” adjustment is effected by an adjusting<br />
device at the unit. In case of the tank electrode and the tank electrode FL also a “dry” adjustment is possible with the help<br />
of a scale.<br />

Measuring Sensor Tank Sensor Diesel<br />
The <strong>VOTRONIC</strong> Tank Sensor Diesel has been particularly designed for level measuring of Diesel tanks in metal or plastic<br />
execution. It is installed at the upper side of the tank. The measuring electrode can be easily shortened to the height of the<br />
tank, and a precise calibration is effected at the touch of a button, separately for “empty” and “full”.<br />
Remark concerning functions and safety: The <strong>VOTRONIC</strong> Tank Sensor Diesel had been designed exclusively<br />
for operation with Diesel fuel. Other combustible or explosive media, as well as water and hydrous media,<br />
are not admissible.<br />
