CIRCULAR<br />
Vide circular dated 01.04.1999 the FDs in their meeting had decided that executives of the<br />
rank of M2 and below would undertake travel by Rail only. In case of journey meant for<br />
training, seminars or conference workshop, they were advised to undertake by AC-II or<br />
below.<br />
Accordingly, the matter was discussed in the 2006:21 st FDs meeting held on 29.12.2006<br />
wherein it was decided that the earlier restrictions imposed by the FDs in their meeting held<br />
on 11.06.1999 with regard to the journey by Air/Flight during official tour stands withdrawn<br />
and all such journey would henceforth be governed by the extant rules of Coal India Limited.<br />
All are requested to kindly implement the above instruction with immediate effect.<br />
