3. The world is so busy this day. So few people talk about Jesus. He is with<br />
us <strong>and</strong> He is alive.<br />
4. Think about His Passion. Think about Jesus kneeling in the garden<br />
alone. Think about the torture <strong>and</strong> the sufferings that He would undergo.<br />
When we think about these things, we realize more fully His love <strong>for</strong><br />
us. He loved us so much that He gave His life <strong>for</strong> us.<br />
5. He wants the little children to come <strong>and</strong> to pray. Mary calls her little<br />
children to come to His Heart. She wants them to know His love.<br />
6. He felt agony in His Heart. For all time He would be rejected <strong>and</strong><br />
treated so coldly by so many.<br />
7. He asked His Apostles to wait with Him <strong>and</strong> they fell asleep. How many<br />
<strong>of</strong> us today fall asleep when Jesus asks us to pray <strong>and</strong> be with Him?<br />
8. Jesus wants us to spend time talking to Him all through the day.<br />
9. Jesus’ agony was so great that He sweat blood in the garden.<br />
10. We were created to know, love, <strong>and</strong> serve God. The greatest act that we<br />
can do on this earth is to love God.<br />
The Scourging at the Pillar<br />
1. They took Jesus away <strong>and</strong> they tied Him to a pillar.<br />
2. They began to beat His precious flesh <strong>and</strong> Jesus bled.<br />
3. Think <strong>of</strong> how it would be to st<strong>and</strong> by <strong>and</strong> watch a man be beaten.<br />
4. Think <strong>of</strong> how it would be to st<strong>and</strong> by <strong>and</strong> to watch your best friend<br />
beaten <strong>and</strong> bloodied be<strong>for</strong>e your very eyes.<br />
5. Think <strong>of</strong> how it would be to watch as your best friend was beaten <strong>for</strong><br />
your own <strong>of</strong>fenses.<br />
6. Jesus, the Son <strong>of</strong> God, allowed Himself to be beaten <strong>for</strong> our sins. He<br />
could have at any moment stopped His attackers <strong>for</strong> He was God.<br />
7. Jesus wants us to meditate on His Passion. It is in meditating on His<br />
Passion we know more how much He loves us.<br />
8. He loves us so much.<br />
9. Do you have a friend that would give his life <strong>for</strong> you, that would st<strong>and</strong><br />
in <strong>and</strong> allow himself to be beaten <strong>for</strong> your <strong>of</strong>fenses? Think <strong>of</strong> how much<br />
Jesus loves us, that He was willing to do this <strong>for</strong> us.<br />

The Crowning with Thorns<br />
1. Our life is very hard sometimes <strong>and</strong> we struggle. Jesus wants us to think<br />
about His life <strong>and</strong> to see Him as He suffers all through the Passion. He<br />
shows us the way, the way is to follow Jesus.<br />
2. They pounded into Jesus’ head sharp thorns.<br />
3. Jesus is the King <strong>of</strong> all kings <strong>and</strong> they crowned Him with sharp piercing<br />
thorns.
