Students who wish to pursue a minor in Spanish for teaching purposes must take at least 21 credits in
Spanish, plus the prescribed education courses. All students seeking K-8 licensure in world language
and culture must demonstrate an intermediate-high proficiency level in all four skills (speaking,
listening, reading and writing) as outlined in the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines and successfully
complete the following language courses plus two or three additional courses:
