Maurice (Mickey) R. Flynn,<br />

Seabrook, Texas, is recovering<br />

well from a heart transplant he<br />

had in January <strong>of</strong> 1999. He is<br />

looking forward to 2004 at<br />

<strong>Saint</strong> Mary’s, his 50th reunion.<br />

City, Minn., is retired.<br />

ather Robert Stamschror ’57, a priest <strong>of</strong> the Diocese<br />

<strong>of</strong> Winona, retired from <strong>Saint</strong> Mary’s Press<br />

after serving as an acquisition<br />

editor for more than 21 years.<br />

As senior acquisition editor,<br />

Father Stamschror led <strong>Saint</strong><br />

Mary’s Press in new directions,<br />

expanding the company’s line<br />

<strong>of</strong> youth ministry publications.<br />

He was the inspiration and original<br />

driving force behind the<br />

publication <strong>of</strong> the immensely<br />

successful Catholic Youth Bible, which sold over<br />

120,000 copies in the first six months <strong>of</strong> publication.<br />

Father Stamschror’s career has also included service<br />

as the Director <strong>of</strong> Religious Education for the<br />

Diocese <strong>of</strong> Winona, chair <strong>of</strong> the Department <strong>of</strong> Education<br />

for the United States Catholic Conference, and<br />

chaplain and instructor at both <strong>Saint</strong> Mary’s <strong>University</strong><br />

and the former College <strong>of</strong> St. Teresa.<br />

treasury department as a<br />

Robert G. Doerr, Fountain<br />

Distinguished Service Award<br />

Heating, Refrigerating and Air-<br />

Conditioning Engineers. He is<br />

a senior principal chemist at<br />

Trane Co. in La Crosse, Wis.<br />

James Larabee, San Antonio,<br />

Texas, recently deployed from<br />

Ft. Polk, La., as chief nurse <strong>of</strong><br />

115th Medical Field Hospital as<br />

part <strong>of</strong> Operation Joint Forge.<br />

His unit continues to sponsor a<br />

Muslim School near Tuzla. If<br />

any alumni have access to<br />

materials that would help them<br />

in their task, it would be most<br />

appreciated.<br />

Father William Petrie, is in<br />

Bhubaneswar, India, after 25<br />

years <strong>of</strong> doing leprosy work<br />

through the inspiration <strong>of</strong><br />
