AIM<br />

We aimed to make a remote controlled helicopter.<br />

We then planned to attach an antenna and receiver to it, which then can<br />

be used in fox-hunt.<br />

This was inspired from the real world problem, on which major defense<br />

companies are working.


DIFFICULTIES<br />

A helicopter when flies produces a lot of vibration restraining us to the material<br />

that can be used.<br />

Along with it we need to manufacture things like swash plate including ball and<br />

bearing system, gears which can’t be done under the club.<br />

Motion of Helicopter is done by using moment of Rotor which is performed by<br />

tilting them in-between running condition. All this needs a highly sophisticated<br />

control system and miniature gear box.<br />

All these involve financial problems which again limited our options to the already<br />

limited options we have.


WHAT WE GAINED…<br />

Working on this model helped us in understanding greatly the flight and<br />

structural aspects of a modern helicopter, which will be greatly helpful in<br />

the other models we are going to fabricate.<br />

Finally : Sir asked us to work on Quad- copter.
