Note
Only a combination of BIOLOX ® forte/delta ball heads with cup inserts of BIOLOX ® forte/delta
is permitted. Any of the BIOLOX ® forte/delta family of ball heads may be used with any of
the ceramic inserts from the BIOLOX ® family, provided that the correct head/calotte diameter
is used. Other components that have not been approved by Smith&Nephew Orthopaedics
must not be used. Pairings with 32 mm ball heads or bigger generally improve the range of
motion and thus reduce the risk of impingement and subluxation.
