The ENDOBUTTON INDICATOR Selection Device helps you easily
determine what size ENDOBUTTON CL ULTRA Fixation Device to use
in your ACL reconstructions. Ideal for anatomic or traditional ACL
reconstruction techniques, the ENDOBUTTON CL ULTRA Device offers the
strongest soft tissue femoral fixation currently available, and the highest
failure load compared to competitive technologies.*
Using the technique outlined in this brochure, the reusable ENDOBUTTON
INDICATOR device takes into account femoral tunnel length, graft depth,
and drilling depth – and indicates the appropriate ENDOBUTTON CL
device size. Compatible with the CLANCY Anatomic Cruciate Guide/
Flexible Drill System.

Technique
Step 1
Using a 2.4 mm or 2.7 mm passing pin,
drill into femur until black line marked on
pin (shown in inset) is flush with bone on
lateral wall of femoral condyle in notch.
Step 2
Place INDICATOR device over passing pin
until it touches bone of the lateral condyle.
Lock passing pin in place with first locking
knob, positioned on proximal end of device.
Step 3
Small window displays total femoral
tunnel length.
Step 4
Read larger window to determine size of
ENDOBUTTON CL ULTRA Fixation Device,
which is based on desired graft length.
If femoral tunnel length is between sizes,
select next smaller device size to maximize
amount of graft in tunnel.
Step 5
Using 4.5 ENDOBUTTON drill, drill all the
way through femur, ensuring that drill breaks
through cortex.
Step 6
Drill socket to the displayed drilling depth
(which includes 10 mm flipping distance
for fixation device). Attach passing suture
to eyelet of passing pin. Then, remove
INDICATOR device and pin with passing
suture for later graft passage.
