The candidate will produce a limited record of their research,<br />
including information from restricted resources with no reference to<br />
time scale. Writing largely conveys meaning although errors and<br />
poor expression hamper communication. Little or no use of<br />
specialist vocabulary.<br />
The candidate will produce a record of research selecting<br />
appropriate information and showing some understanding of the<br />
event referring to the general time scale. Writing shows some<br />
evidence of structure; expression is adequate to convey meaning<br />
although errors are apparent. Use of specialist vocabulary is<br />
limited.<br />
The candidate will produce a record of research selecting and<br />
interpreting appropriate information demonstrating their<br />
understanding and knowledge of the event with realistic time scales<br />
identified. Writing is structured to communicate meaning clearly<br />
and contains relatively few errors. Use of specialist vocabulary is<br />
correct.<br />
The candidate will produce a record of research demonstrating the<br />
selecting, interpreting and analysing of appropriate information and<br />
showing in-depth knowledge and understanding of the event with<br />
detailed and realistic timing allocated. Writing is well structured and<br />
fit for purpose, clearly expressed and largely error-free. Specialist<br />
vocabulary has been used appropriately.<br />
