APPLICATION
Join Coach Claggett as he has just completed his first successful
season as SLUH’s basketball coach. A graduate of Saint Louis
University (SLU), Claggett was an All-American player and
finished as SLU’s second all-time leading scorer and a two time
SLU Hall of Fame inductee. As a professional player, Coach
Claggett enjoyed an extensive basketball career in Europe
before returning to coach high school basketball. Upon his
return from Europe, he coached for two years at Venice
High School before joining McCluer High School as the Head
Boys’ Basketball coach in 2004. During his nine-year career
at McCluer High School, Coach Claggett led the Comets to 3
Conference Championships and was a three time Conference
Coach of the Year.
As the head of the Boys Basketball program at SLUH, Coach
Claggett’s teams are noted for their tenacious defense and
up-tempo style of play. Join us in an action packed week and
fully integrate yourself into Jr. Billiken Basketball. See you this
summer! Coach Claggett’s ability as a passionate communicator
and teacher makes him a highly effective basketball coach. His
experience as a player lends credibility to his knowledge of
the game.
Camp counselors will include high school coaches, collegiate
players, and former SLUH graduates.
Grade School Camp Check-in is 8:30am - 9:00am on the Monday
morning of that week. The awards ceremony will take place at
2:45pm on Thursday of each week .
Campers may bring their lunch or purchase from the cafeteria.
All facilities are air conditioned.

CAMP INFO
Grade School Camp (Grades 3rd-8th) - is a multi-faceted camp that
specializes in individual and small group development. Campers
will work on basketball instruction focusing on basic fundamentals.
There will be basic skills competitions throughout the week.
Dates: June 10th - 13th, June 17th - 20th, July 8th - 11th, or
July 22nd - 25th
Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Cost: $160.00
Each camper will receive a reversible practice jersey and certificate.
Incoming Freshman Camp - will focus on incoming Freshman who
could potentially be a part of the Jr.Billikens Basketball Program.
Dates: June 24th - 26th
Time: 3:30pm - 5:30pm
Cost: $100.00
Each camper will receive a reversible practice jersey.
Erwin Claggett/ SLUH Elite Basketball Camp (Boys and Girls)
Grades 5th-8th - An instructional camp that includes high
intensity basketball skill development. This camp specializes in
intense shooting instruction, ball handling, 1 on 1 attack moves,
and footwork and agility. Campers will enjoy this camp with its
game situation drills and intense shooting instruction, essential to
become an effective basketball player.
Dates: June 27th - 28th
Time: 11:00am - 3:00pm
Cost: $125.00
Each camper will receive a Nike sleeveless Dri Fit Shirt.
