their son until they are sure he has been allowed admittance.<br />

• Dancing-While dancing, there will be room in between bodies (on fast<br />

music); no one on the ground; no “simulated sex acts”; no mosh,<br />

slam, profane or suggestive dancing.<br />

• Dress-Clothing that is revealing (bare back <strong>and</strong> stomach) <strong>and</strong> suggestive<br />

may not be worn. This includes tube, see through <strong>and</strong> forms of halter<br />

tops. Clothing w/vulgar, sexual, suggestive, profane, illegal or<br />

alcoholic messages may not be worn. Skirts must not be shorter than<br />

middle of thigh <strong>and</strong> shorts or pants cannot reveal any part of the<br />

buttocks.<br />

• Music-DJs will avoid songs with explicitly sexual, vulgar suggestive<br />

lyrics.<br />

K. Items of General Information<br />

Announcements are scrolled over the television monitors. Any announcement<br />

to be scrolled must be authorized by a faculty member <strong>and</strong> submitted to the<br />

Assistant Principal for <strong><strong>St</strong>udent</strong> Life. Announcements are also linked with the<br />

<strong>SLUH</strong> website. (www.sluh.org)<br />

Flyers, posters or notices regarding <strong>SLUH</strong> or non-school activities must be<br />

authorized by the Asst. Principal for <strong><strong>St</strong>udent</strong> Life before posting. Homeroom<br />

teachers should always be asked for their permission before posting signs on<br />

classrooms bulletin boards. <strong><strong>St</strong>udent</strong>s are expected to respect all signs <strong>and</strong><br />

notices posted in school. Defacement of these will make the student liable for<br />

disciplinary action.<br />

<strong><strong>St</strong>udent</strong>s can use the phone in the Asst. Principal for <strong><strong>St</strong>udent</strong> Life’s office.<br />

There are bike racks near the northwest doors on the west side of the school<br />

building for those who ride their bikes to school. All bikes must be locked to<br />

the bike rack.<br />

Announcements concerning the cancellation of school or a special schedule<br />

due to inclement weather will be made via phone blast. Notices will also be<br />

placed on radio stations KMOX (1120AM) or KTRS <strong>and</strong> television stations<br />

KTVI Channel 2, KMOV Channel 4, KSDK Channel 5, KPLR Channel 11 <strong>and</strong><br />

KDNL Channel 30.<br />

<strong>Parent</strong>s wishing to leave a message for their son during the school day should<br />

call the switchboard by 2 pm. Any messages after 2 pm are not guaranteed to<br />

reach the student. Messages should be left for extraordinary reasons only. The<br />

phone number for the switchboard is 531-0330. The switchboard is open on<br />

weekdays from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.<br />
