nonrefundable (cash only) parking fee is $10.00. The student lot is southwest
of the school building adjacent to the Science Center. East of the painted dotted
line is Senior Parking Only. Students are not to park in the neighborhood, in
front of any neighbors' homes. Students are not allowed to park in the alley.
Students violating the parking rule are subject to fines and jugs. The school
reserves the right to examine any student vehicle parked on school grounds or
on neighborhood streets. The school shall exercise due care in operating the
parking areas but assumes no responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage to
moving, parked, towed or stored vehicles.
f. Lunch Periods
Students are able to bring their lunch or purchase lunch in the student cafeteria.
Freshmen and Sophomores are required to eat their lunch in the
cafeteria or the South entry commons during their regularly scheduled lunch
period. However, Freshmen and Sophomores may choose to go to the library
at the beginning of the lunch period to study. If they choose the library to
study, they must remain in the library for the entire lunch period.
Besides the cafeteria, Juniors and Seniors may eat their lunch outside
on the west campus PROVIDED THEY COOPERATE IN KEEPING
THIS AREA NEAT AND CLEAN. Except for Seniors in the Off-Campus
Lunch Program using their cars, students are not permitted to be in cars during
lunch periods. Juniors and Seniors should not return to the second or third
floors until the beginning of the break period. Juniors and Seniors should use
the exit under the library to go outside to eat lunch. This will lessen the
disruption of the Freshmen and Sophomore classes.
Seniors may go off campus for lunch. A permission form must be
obtained from the office of the Asst. Principal for Student Life. Students who
leave school grounds without permission will receive five demerits, a jug and
loss of off campus privilege.
There should be no eating or drinking in school hallways,
classrooms, library, auditorium, gym, locker rooms or weight room at any time
during the day. This includes chewing gum.
It is important for students to help clean up trash in the cafeteria and
hallways. It is also important for students to remain quiet in the hallways
after lunch while returning to their lockers, as there are classes going on.
Failure to abide by these rules may result in demerit and/or jugs.
g. Care of School Property
All students are expected to help keep the school neat and clean.
Defacement or abuse of school property is cause for demerits and possible jug.
In addition, the cost of repair or replacement of school property will be paid by
the student(s) responsible.
h. Expected Student Behavior Off-campus
Schools are judged in no small measure by the conduct of their students when
off-campus. While SLUH does not hold itself responsible for offenses
committed outside of its legal jurisdiction, we reserve the right to review any
conduct that impedes upon the Church or school’s values and morals, or that
