Counselors use the results of all of these tests to help the student and his
parents to better understand the student's academic progress and potential.
They are also used in the very important process of college planning and
admissions. Parents may contact their son's counselor for information
regarding the interpretation of any of these tests.
S. Final report cards
Final report cards will not be sent to parents of students who owe the school
for fines, loans, books or equipment until the matter is resolved.
SECTION IV-CAMPUS MINISTRY PROGRAM
Rev. Pedro Arrupe, S.J., a former Superior General of the Society of Jesus, is
quoted as follows:
Today our prime educational objective must be to form men-for-others; men
who live not for themselves but for God and His Christ - for the God-man who
lived and died for all the world; men who cannot even conceive of love of God
which does not include love for the least of their neighbors; men completely
convinced that love of God which does not issue in justice is a farce.
A. Pastoral Program
In accordance with the school's objective to form men-for-others the Pastoral
Program offers activities which allow the love, which is outlined in the
following quote from Saint Luke, to flourish and mature:
"You shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart,
with all your soul,
with all your strength,
and with your mind;
And you shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Luke 10:27)
Through liturgies, prayer services, retreats, reconciliation days, and fast
Fridays, we seek to foster the aforementioned three loves of God, others, and
self.
1. Liturgies
The Eucharist is the center of life at St. Louis University High. We celebrate
the Eucharist in a variety of settings:
a. Daily liturgies are offered in the Student Chapel at 7:20 A.M.
Students and faculty join in on a voluntary basis.
b. All-School: The entire SLUH community gathers to celebrate allschool
liturgies on the 15Year. For these celebrations students
prepare the liturgy--including the decorations and the music-- and
serve as lectors and acolytes. After designing and making the
