About <strong>the</strong> author and data contributors<br />

Kenneth Nehrbass is a translation and anthropology consultant with <strong>SIL</strong><br />

Vanuatu. He has been conduct<strong>in</strong>g fieldwork on Tanna s<strong>in</strong>ce 2003, focus<strong>in</strong>g on <strong>the</strong><br />

Southwest Tanna language. He holds a Ph.D. <strong>in</strong> Intercultural Studies from Biola<br />

University <strong>in</strong> California, USA.<br />

Greg Carlson is a l<strong>in</strong>guist with <strong>SIL</strong> Vanuatu. He conducted fieldwork <strong>in</strong><br />

North Tanna on <strong>the</strong> North Tanna language from 1991 to 2007 and has been<br />

work<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Whitesands on <strong>the</strong> Whitesands language s<strong>in</strong>ce 2008. He holds an M.A.<br />

<strong>in</strong> Applied L<strong>in</strong>guistics from <strong>the</strong> Graduate Institute <strong>of</strong> Applied L<strong>in</strong>guistics <strong>in</strong> Dallas,<br />

Texas, USA.<br />

Erik Stapleton is a l<strong>in</strong>guist with <strong>SIL</strong> Vanuatu. He has been conduct<strong>in</strong>g<br />

fieldwork <strong>in</strong> South Tanna on <strong>the</strong> Kwamera language s<strong>in</strong>ce 2004. He holds an M.A.<br />

<strong>in</strong> Applied L<strong>in</strong>guistics from <strong>the</strong> Graduate Institute <strong>of</strong> Applied L<strong>in</strong>guistics <strong>in</strong> Dallas,<br />

Texas, USA. His M.A. <strong>the</strong>sis was based on his research on Kwamera.
