Maja Vidmar (b. 1961)<br />
studied comparative<br />
literature in Ljubljana,<br />
where she currently<br />
lives as a freelancer. She<br />

Prisotnost (Presence,<br />
2005) and Sobe (Rooms,<br />
2008). Her selected<br />
poems in the German<br />
translation were awarded<br />
the Hubert-Burda-Stifung<br />
Prize. For her book<br />
Prisotnost she received<br />
the Prešeren Foundation<br />
Award, the Jenko Prize<br />
and the Grosser preis für<br />
osteuropäische Literatur<br />
