The manners <strong>of</strong> submitt<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong>ficial applications<br />
Written application<br />
Ei<strong>the</strong>r handwritten or pr<strong>in</strong>ted, a written application must always be personally<br />
signed. If you forget to sign your application and <strong>the</strong>reby fail to identify yourself,<br />
<strong>the</strong> application will subsequently be dismissed as <strong>in</strong>valid.<br />
A written application may be:<br />
• submitted directly with an adm<strong>in</strong>istrative authority (an <strong>in</strong>stitution you want<br />
someth<strong>in</strong>g from);<br />
• sent to an adm<strong>in</strong>istrative authority by mail;<br />
• sent by e-mail or handed over to a firm specialised <strong>in</strong> application submission,<br />
to submit it on your behalf. Remember to add your digital signature.<br />
It is also possible to submit a written application by fax, or to send it <strong>in</strong> a scanned<br />
format, but <strong>in</strong> this case you will still be expected to sign <strong>the</strong> application<br />
<strong>in</strong> person later on at <strong>the</strong> competent authority.<br />
Oral application<br />
Ano<strong>the</strong>r way to submit your application is orally on <strong>the</strong> record. You do this by dictat<strong>in</strong>g<br />
<strong>in</strong> person <strong>the</strong> exact text <strong>of</strong> your application to a competent adm<strong>in</strong>istrative<br />
<strong>of</strong>ficer, who <strong>the</strong>n makes a record <strong>of</strong> your application.<br />
If you do not understand Slovenian well enough, br<strong>in</strong>g along a translator you<br />
trust to translate for you and to verify <strong>the</strong> accuracy <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> text written <strong>in</strong> your<br />
application.
