Recurrent laryngeal nerve<br />

<strong>The</strong> recurrent laryngeal nerve is a branch of the vagus nerve (cranial nerve X). It supplies all<br />

the laryngeal muscles, with the exception of one. <strong>The</strong> exception is the cricothyroid muscle,<br />

an adductor muscle, which is supplied by the external branch of the superior laryngeal<br />

nerve.<br />
