Circle circuit
The circle circuit is a breathing circuit which allows rebreathing of expired gases. It allows a
more economical use of gases and volatile anesthetic agents. A circle circuit requires the use
of a CO2 absorber to prevent hypercarbia.
A circle system is shaped as a circle rather than a straight line. It has two one way valves
(one inspiratory and one expiratory) to ensure proper direction of flow.
