to those barbecues around the pool. What<br />
are you doing during the Summer? Maybe<br />
you’ve got family coming out, or are you<br />
going back to see them? Whatever you<br />
do, have a good time, chill out, but don’t<br />
forget the Welcome do’s – if you can<br />
make them, we’ll be pleased to see you.<br />
March 25 th saw our Annual Treasure<br />
Hunt. The route took us to places we<br />
hadn’t seen before, loads of questions to<br />
answer, and congratulations to the winners,<br />
“Late For Coffee,” and runners-up, “The<br />
Snipsters.” Well done Paul and Jim, who<br />
worked out the route. It isn’t easy doing<br />
this sort of thing – I know, because I did<br />
one myself, and it does take a lot of time<br />
and imagination. Also, many thanks to the<br />
staff at the Social Centre in Los Muñoces<br />
for their hospitality and excellent buffet.<br />
On 27 th March, we had what must be the<br />
very best Welcome Night ever. For the<br />
first time away from Benidorm, we had the<br />
Rich Bitch Show. What a night this was!<br />
We had Miss Shape, Sheila Blige (you work<br />
it out), and the Rich Bitch herself, Gordon<br />
Rivers. A full incredible four hours of first<br />
class entertainment, not finishing until<br />
the small hours. And what about those<br />
costumes! Have you ever seen anything<br />
like that before? The most fantastic night<br />
ever and Rosemary is pleased to announce<br />
that they will be back in November.<br />
Reserve your tickets now. Also, well done<br />
to “Mademoiselle Stephanie La Snippe”<br />
for the music. Come back soon – we can’t<br />
wait.<br />

At the Welcome Meeting on 31st March,<br />
Welcome were pleased to present MABS<br />
with a cheque for 300€ which was from the<br />
50cents collected at their book club and<br />
made up to 300€ from Welcome events.<br />
They also presented Age Concern with<br />
a cheque for 500€ which is to help Age<br />
Concern towards the fixtures and fittings<br />
needed when they open their shop.<br />

The next day it was the Petanca<br />
Competiton. Unlike last year, the sun<br />
shone and 6 games were played. Well done<br />
to Bob and Jan Rowe who came first and<br />
won a hamper and the Welcome Shield and<br />
Ian and Pat Robinson who came second<br />
and won a hamper and the ASSSA Shield.<br />
